Asking your travel advisor is a great way to get on the right line and ship for your ideal adventure, but this is a break down to get you started.
Mass Market
These are the most recognizable brands when it comes to cruising. They tend to offer exceptional value compared to land based travel.
- Carnival | Carnival is a great general purpose cruise line, catering to a wide variety of families and travelers.
- Norwegian | Norwegian is another great multi purpose cruise line and features not only the typical cabin types, but their exclusive Haven suites are another step above first class.
- Royal Caribbean | Royal Caribbean caters to a wide variety of guests, from first-timers to seasoned cruisers. Royal Caribbean is great for multi-generational cruise groups and anyone looking for a fun adventure.
- MSC Cruises | MSC is a European line that is growing in the US market. MSC’s focus on their European clientele gives guests the feel of Europe on a cruise ship.
Premium
Premium Cruise lines tend to cater towards a slightly older audience. In many cases they feature slightly smaller and more intimate ships
- Cunard | Best known for their Queen Elizabeth II and long voyages across oceans and around the world.
- Holland America | Holland America is a favorite among older cruisers, with formal dinners and activities that appeal to retirees.
- Celebrity | Celebrity is Royal Caribbean’s premium brand. Celebrity is the way to go if you are interested in small, specialized cruises like the Galapagos.
- Princess | Princess is Italian inspired and tends to attract a slightly older audience, while still providing activities for families. Princess is excellent for multi-generational groups that want a higher service level.
- Disney Cruise Lines | If you’re looking for character interactions and family-focused cruises, look no farther than Disney. Teens and adults enjoy sailing with Disney as well.
Luxury
Luxury cruises tend to be an “all inclusive” offering, with nearly everything included in the fare, including beverages, shore excursions, gratuities and in some cases, airfare. These cruises truly pamper you with five star service
